Make a wish, and let…

it…

go.

(Way, way up, to soar and soar and soar and dance and touch and kiss the clouds.)

(This is how we navigated, with our children, the sometimes difficult truth that balloons – and especially Disney balloons, which cannot be transported home on airplanes to live out their natural lives in Emilia’s bedroom – are not forever: we told them that if you set a balloon free, you get a wish.

And wish they did.)
