Real Moms…

March 21, 2007

feel the fear and do it anyway.

(Real mom-bloggers share life-decisions with the Internets. Real mom-bloggers share everything with the Internets. Not because they’re narcissists. Because bigger, whip-toting bloggers – and the occasional cheeky red-head - tell them to.)

(Real mom-bloggers like cracking the whip themselves, but this mom-blogger is late to the meme and so must settle for just vaguely brandishing her own whip in the air and insisting that anyone who has not yet exposed their real-momness must do so immediately. And report back.)

That is wonderful! My boys are 26 months apart, which means Ryan was the age WonderBaby is now when we started trying again. And just you wait-the first time you see WonderBaby pat her brother or sister on the head, or kiss him/her gently on the forehead, your heart will swell up even bigger!

It’s a cliche because it’s true. Going from 1 to 2 is hard. (But it gets easier.) Going from 2 to 3 — piece of cake. Good luck!

    Pattie March 22, 2007 at 12:08 pm

    Yippee! Have fun trying! :)

    rivergirlie March 22, 2007 at 12:18 pm

oooh – do you have some news for us? come on, choke – only about 8 million of us out here – and we won’t tell a soul!

    susan March 22, 2007 at 12:40 pm

    Jaelithe March 22, 2007 at 12:42 pm

Real Bad Momma, go on with your real bad self and bake us up another future world empress (or emperor, as the case may be).

    susan March 22, 2007 at 12:43 pm

Okay, now I see what I missed. The whole “Ovulation Predictor” thing went right over my head.

Anyways, happy predicting! Can’t wait to get the news that you’ll be their bad mother…

Crunchy Carpets March 22, 2007 at 1:35 pm

    Jozet March 22, 2007 at 1:54 pm

As my sister always says, “Sometimes you just have to throw you hat over the fence, and then go chase it.”

    Goodbye hat!

    Happy ovulation!

    kgirl March 22, 2007 at 2:32 pm

    wishing you many fertile returns.

    Kelly March 22, 2007 at 3:39 pm

    Lizzy March 22, 2007 at 5:12 pm

I know I’m a little late in the game, but WOW!
Good luck, and thanks for sharing…
We have some of those in the wings at our house, too. Not *quite* ready, but getting there.

    JudesMommy March 22, 2007 at 5:47 pm

See this is what happens when I don’t get to all my blog reading for days! You are a much braver soul than me…I defer to your courage and say, yay, more wonderstories to devour!

    jennster March 22, 2007 at 7:52 pm

    are you freaking KNOCKED UP??!?!

Her Bad Mother March 22, 2007 at 8:49 pm

Jennster, my sweet hottie, I am freaking OVULATING. And open to – even actively pursuing – becoming knocked up.

    Stay tuned.

    Kyla March 22, 2007 at 8:57 pm

So the new baby will be named “AweBaby”, right? As in Awe and Wonder. And also as in, “Awww the baby is adorable just like Wonderbaby?” *lol*

Mrs. Chicken March 22, 2007 at 10:10 pm

You are giving me courage! :) If you can have Wonderbaby The Second, well. Then the rest of us can. too.

    “gingajoy said…

Walk through that Fear and GET SHAGGING.”

HEE. Loved that comment. :o )

    GIRL'S GONE CHILD March 23, 2007 at 3:06 am

    Multi-tasking Mommy March 23, 2007 at 10:17 pm

    Welcome to the “trying club”!

    Good for you :)

Have you ever heard of the LUNA kit? I wonder if it is any good, it’s reusable which makes it appealing to me.

    Damselfly March 23, 2007 at 10:37 pm

WOW. You are truly a real mom. How did I miss this post before now?!

    Sounds perfect….

    TB March 26, 2007 at 6:34 am

Oh, good luck! How exciting! And this coming from a woman who is nine months pregnant, so don’t worry too much about having forgotten the ills of gestation. It’s not that bad and the second time around will be like old hat for you.

Ruth Dynamite March 26, 2007 at 11:03 pm

    I love your honesty.

My fingers are crossed for you in the best of ways.

    AmandaD March 28, 2007 at 11:30 pm

20 months apart and contemplating and hoping for a number three. Good luck. Do know this: they will be co-conspirators in a little thing we like to call synchronized shitting. They out-maneuver even the finest choreographers with their ability to perfecly time the explosions. It is a spectacular ride!

Did you know that Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway is the title of a life-changing book by Susan Jeffers, Ph.D. It’s definitely worth a read.

    Adria April 6, 2007 at 5:23 pm

I’m willing to bet she knows. I have the book on CD in my car, just waiting its turn in line to be listened to. Congratulations.
