Wonderbaby Dynamite

December 9, 2007

Wonderbaby knows just what to do when Mommy’s low. Do a little dance, show a little love, get down tonight:

And always, always close the performance with jazz hands.

Thanks again, beyond muchness, for all the love and well-wishes. I won’t know the results of the test for two to three weeks, maybe longer, depending upon how far they get with everything before the holidays. But as I’ve said, I can live with that wait, so long as the pregnancy gets through this safely (and so far – knock all things wood – things are looking okay.) Now, I’m going to try to not think about any of this – save for general warm and happy baby thoughts – for a while. Until we need to.

She is enchanting. I enjoyed her shirt and shoes/boots.

    Amy U. December 9, 2007 at 5:08 pm

That t-shirt is awesome! So cute. KC and the Sunshine Band was a favourite of mine at that age, apparently, too.

    flutter December 9, 2007 at 6:28 pm

oh my god her shirt is hysterical. I can’t help but smile every time you share her little face with us. She is just enchanting.

Laural Dawn December 9, 2007 at 6:44 pm

That is hilarious! I love the t-shirt.
Jazz hands are essential to ANY dance routine!
And, hang in there. I can’t believe you have to wait 2-3 weeks. But, at least it’s Christmas and it will be a whirlwind 2-3 weeks, ya know!

    kgirl December 9, 2007 at 6:45 pm

    She is DELICIOUS.

    Mom101 December 9, 2007 at 9:09 pm

Something about seeing that one healthy, loving, living, breathing, jazz-hand-making kid somehow makes the other stuff seem bearable. (At least that’s how it worked for me when I was going through my own pgcy hell). Hooray for Wonderbaby and her Wondermama.

    Jezer December 9, 2007 at 9:31 pm

Now that’s a girl who knows how to break it down.

You sound (read?) like you’re feeling better–keep going with those warm snuggly thoughts.

    Mimi December 10, 2007 at 5:37 pm

cute! isn’t it nice when they get a little older and channel all that energy into dancing instead of, say, into hollering? :-)

Warm thoughts and wishes for calm and happy thoughts for you.

painted maypole December 10, 2007 at 6:24 pm

ha ha. between the sunday school christmas play and the preschool music program I am indoctrinating a whole new slew of children into the joy of jazz hands!

    kittenpie December 10, 2007 at 6:29 pm

Go, WonderBaby! I love the pointy bunny ears move. AND that awesome Tshirt.

    Aimee December 10, 2007 at 7:45 pm

Isn’t it wonderful how our children scoop us out from the trenches, just when we need it most? As many posters have said, WB is too adorable, shirt, skirt, boots and all.

If this helps, if you were going to have complications from the amnio, you already would have. So, I hope you can relax a bit about that. I’m sorry you have to wait so long… I was so hoping you’d have some initial results, as I did, to help put you at ease.

As others have said, this is holiday season, and with 2 weeks to go until Christmas, I’m sure there are many things to keep you occupied! Until then, know we are all here for you when you want/need us. *hugs*

    Stacie December 11, 2007 at 11:48 am

oh my goodness…how cute is she. I am glad she knows how to make you smile!

    Catherine December 11, 2007 at 1:00 pm

the similarities are getting freaky … your name is Catherine MY name is Catherine … your daughter likes that song, that’s the song I’ve sung to MY daughter since she was wee (she’s 2 now) – eery! WB is too cute.

the dragonfly December 11, 2007 at 1:53 pm

Precious!! That would make anyone smile!!

Aimee Greeblemonkey December 11, 2007 at 2:34 pm

Not just jazz hands – SPIRIT FINGERS!

Redneck Mommy December 11, 2007 at 3:05 pm

Is she wearing leg warmers? Cuz nothing brings joy like a sprite wearing leg warmers while waving the jazz hands…

    Amanda December 11, 2007 at 3:32 pm

It’s all in that slinky hip thing she’s got going on.

Keep watching the dance, the rest will follow.

Her Bad Mother December 11, 2007 at 3:40 pm

Those are indeed legwarmers, friend. The better to flashdance.
