Sprout
Finally, finally, some evidence – for my own eyes – that this pregnancy is more than just nausea and vomiting and unremitting fatigue. Proof that there’s a there in there, and that there is occupied:
That’s Super Sprout, and from the way that he or she is kicking my ass, Sprout is going to have a lot in common with the Wonderbaby.

Amazing how a picture – a picture! – can almost make all the sandy-eyelids-syndrome and gagging worth it, huh?

Well, Howdy, Little WonderSprout!

Be nice to yo’ mama.
But nice to seeing you looking good.

Nov 19, 2007
Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy! I forgot how amazing it is to see this – feel the cold goopy stuff on your belly and watch the wand thingy elicit this image (clearly of a loving, talented, graceful child.) I send you love and a bit of envy…
OH and by the way the last time I read a Zen Koan it was in NINE STORIES or FRANNY AND ZOOEY — can’t remember which — and I was almost as young as Wonderbaby (hyperbole but still – what fun to think about them again…)
Nov 19, 2007
looks just like you. heh.
Nov 19, 2007

Nov 19, 2007
Julie – still too early for any info other than ‘baby looks good.’ No pee-pees or va-jay-jays spotted, in other words
But yes, I am royalty.

Nov 20, 2007
Ultrasound pictures were the one thing that kept me sane throughout my pregnancy. It put everything in perspective and certainly justified the morning (afternoon, evening) sickness!
Nov 20, 2007

Nov 20, 2007
Hi Super Sprout!! Nice to see you – now be nice to your mama!!
Nov 20, 2007

I raise my glass to their ass kickingness.
damn. a huge part of me is so jealous.
Nov 21, 2007
Darling!
Nov 21, 2007
Isn’t it incredible — life is so good! (it’ll be even better when the vomiting stops, I understand)
Nov 21, 2007
Amazing…simply sublime…
Hello there, Little One!
Nov 21, 2007
The first time I say an ultrasound photo, I actually said “What the hell? What the hell am I supposed to be looking at?”
Apparently there have been some upgrades in sonogram technology over the years because that there looks like an actual little person.
Yay!
Nov 21, 2007
Awesome! Ultrasounds are always the best.. and they make up for everything involved.
This also leads to the question, are mothers really the only people that can make out what’s what on those without the training the tech gets?
Congrats again!
Nov 21, 2007
Beautiful!! Look at that spine, amazing.
Nov 21, 2007
