I’m cranky. I haven’t slept in three days, I’m having a bad reaction to my travel vaccines, and yesterday I thought I lost my iPhone. So, I feel how she – Emilia, above, interrupted in the middle of an ice-cream break – looks: like an angry carny who’s just discovered someone’s been messing with her Metallica cassettes.
I’ll shake it off. I have to – I’m traveling half-way around the world this weekend – but knowing that I have to shake it off, right now, actually makes me more cranky.
So. Don’t ask for a lick of my ice cream, and don’t dare interfere with my Metallica collection, until I’ve had some sleep.
(And no, I don’t know what’s going on in the image behind her. Some kind of Little-Mermaid-gone-crustaceophiliac artwork that is more than a little disturbing, but perhaps not entirely surprising at rural county fairs in these post-modern and over-licensed times.)
